"Mistress of merriment and mirth Leela Bunce showed us you don't have to be happy to laugh, you can laugh to be happy..." Chris Evans

Laughing is one of the very best things in the world and I deeply love to laugh. I have experienced times in my life when I have laughed a lot, and times when I really haven't laughed very much at all. Times when laughter has flowed very easily and times when it has felt very far away. I know that when I laugh I feel changed, I feel more alert, I feel more resilient, I feel better, no matter how I felt before I laughed.

I trained in 2005 as a laughter practitioner and created Shinetime (www.shinetime.co.uk) I love helping people to explore their own relationship with laughter, to find ways to reconnect with laughter and get more laughter into their lives, no matter where people are at in their own mental and physical health.

Laughter is a hugely powerful tool for change.

I also work with companies and organisations large and small, finding ways to use laughter to connect people, to energise, to support, to de-stress. Companies I've been lucky to work with include Disney, The Body Shop, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Mind, NHS, Well London, Parkinsons UK, Viridian Housing, Kent Social Services...amongst many others.

I have talked about laughter on TV and radio. BBC Radio 1, ITV's Loose Women, This Morning, BBC 1's groundbreaking series The Science of the Young Ones, BBC 2's Frank Skinner's Opinionated and with Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2. That was all very fun.
